Our story

It all began with a love of wood

More than 30 years ago our founder picked up his first piece of timber and knew straight away — this would be his life's calling. From small repairs and simple pieces to complex made-to-measure commissions, it has been a long road, but one travelled with real passion.

Today, Crni Bor Furniture is a family joinery workshop where father and son work side by side. Experience paired with fresh ideas, tradition paired with innovation — that is what sets us apart.

Every piece that leaves our workshop carries a story with it. The story of a joiner who selects the timber, measures, cuts, shapes and finishes it with the same care he would give to something made for his own home.

Three decades of joinery

~1995

Learning the craft

The first repairs, the first tools, the first real contact with wood. A love of the craft is born in a small workshop.

~2005

The first workshop

A growing order book calls for more space. We open our first proper joinery workshop, fitted out with professional machinery.

~2015

A wider range

From doors and windows we move on to complete furniture — beds, wardrobes, tables and wall paneling. We also master working with engineered panels.

~2020

A new generation

The son joins the business and brings new ideas with him. The father-and-son team combines experience with innovation. Crni Bor Furniture is registered as a company.

2026

Today

With over 500 completed projects and 12 services, we continue to grow. Every day is a fresh chance to create something beautiful out of wood.

Solid wood

Premium

We work with the finest timber species — oak, beech, ash, walnut and black pine. Every board is chosen by hand, with close attention to grain, moisture content and fibre quality.

  • Beech — for ergonomic chairs and benches
  • Walnut — for luxury detailing and wall paneling
  • Black pine — for doors, windows and exterior work

Engineered panels

Standard

For modern furniture we use quality MDF, chipboard and panel boards. The ideal choice for wardrobes, kitchens and any piece that calls for precise machining and a broad range of finishes.

  • MDF — a smooth surface ready for lacquer
  • Chipboard — an economical choice with no compromise
  • Veneered — the look of timber with the practicality of a panel
  • Panel boards — for large surfaces and wall paneling
